Battlestate Games President Nikita Buyanov announced a new scenario mode for Escape from Tarkov during the Tokyo Game Show 2025. It was stated that the story-focused mode will feature four different endings, and approximately 20% of players are expected to see the best ending. Players’ decisions and tough battles combine with the survival struggle in the game to influence the outcome.
The in-depth story brought with the scenario mode will add a richer structure to the game with the full version update. It is also mentioned that two different character systems, one permanent and one seasonal, will be introduced during this process. In the permanent system, character development progresses continuously, while in the seasonal system, a reset will be applied at the beginning of each season.
With the transition to the full version of the game, it was stated that the game will continue to expand with additional content such as special events, new regions, and seasonal modes, alongside existing maps. Additionally, the game’s own launcher is planned to be accessible through the Steam store as well. These developments hold a significant place in Escape from Tarkov’s content roadmap for this year.
