Instagram announced that it has fixed a long-standing access issue that content creators have been complaining about. Platform president Adam Mosseri explained that the bug causing users’ access to decrease when sharing multiple Stories in a day has been corrected.
Instagram fixed the issue
Mosseri stated, “People were complaining about their access decreasing when they shared many Stories throughout the day. This was never an intended behavior.” Thanks to this adjustment, content producers will no longer lose access to their initial Stories when sharing more than one Story within a day.
Although this change might seem less significant for those who only follow their friends’ shares, the platform is increasingly professionalizing. Just like YouTube, Instagram has become a medium used by content creators to grow their audiences and generate revenue. Therefore, even the smallest change in the algorithm directly impacts content strategies.
Recently, Instagram has added new features such as the ability to comment on Stories, and with smaller technical adjustments, it can alter user behavior and content performance. These updates, regularly announced by Mosseri, create a dynamic relationship where content creators try to understand the algorithm.
This recent bug fix will especially allow professional content creators to confidently produce more content in their Story sharing strategies.
