US-based technology giant Google has been focusing on the Maps application lately. In fact, in a news we shared with you the other day, we mentioned that the Google Maps application will now also display weather information. Today, we will continue to talk about the innovations coming to Google Maps.
The Android version of Google Maps has received an update in which the user interface has changed greatly. The new interface, which is now being tested with a small user base, promises a more user-friendly experience. In addition, with the changes to be made, the appearance of Google Maps will have changed so significantly for the first time in years. So, what kind of changes await Google Maps users?
Here are the changes to be made to Google Maps’ interface:
The scrollable images above include comparisons of the changes made for the Google Maps application. As you can see, the application will now rely on scrollable and openable screens rather than full screen. The lines will soften, the transition between pages will be easier and more aesthetic.
The only design innovation in Google Maps will not be on the home page of the application. The navigation feature will also be affected by the changes. Rounded and interactive pages will also be shown during navigation. In this way, you will be able to view the road description and view the map at the same time.
The new interface created for Google Maps is expected to be available for the iOS ecosystem as well. However, now there is no indication when this design, which was detected on Android, will come to iOS.
